When I started doing hair as a way to make money in college, I never thought it’d become my career. What started as a few repeat clients quickly grew into an inbox flooded with appointment requests. There was a clear lack of representation of the black community in the Midwest beauty scene. And as fate would have it, I found a way to fill that need. 

 

In 2015, I graduated from Madison College with a license in Cosmetology. From there, I built my business on the foundation of serving the community with my talents, particularly women of color. Eventually, I expanded my craft into other areas like extensions, hair care products, and lashes with the Rockka Luxe Collection. After all, a high-quality service needs a high-quality product.
